It's still OSU regardless. I got hooked into the Bucks when I went to my first OSU/M*ch*g*n party in '98 during my 2nd year at UC. Thankfully they won that year. My husband & I also have a cat named Buckeye lol.

Hi Tara Blue! It actually might be good that it's hard to get in here. Don't want certain mods to come over here. (Like they would care. But you never know with them!)
Anyway, it's nice that we don't have to walk on eggshells over here.

Hi, I'm emma (emma675 on the TWoP boards)! shootingstar sent me the invite and here I am!
I discovered AS while watching Generation Kill (which is fantastic) and started watching TB because of him and my love of the books. He is the living embodiment of Eric to me and one of the few characters I like on both the show and in the books (don't get me started on how little I like TV Sookie and TV Bill).

Don't get me started on TV Bill or TV Sookie. I'm tired of the "Oh Beel!" & giving him a pass for all the stuff he's done & even worst "Sookeh is MAHN!" is like the only thing he knows how to say.

Hi y'all!
I realized tonight, I didn't introduce myself in this thread. I'm GlassHouses (as in, those who live in them shouldn't throw stones) and was both a frequent lurker and troll-poker on that other board under the same screen name. I'm a marketing consultant by day and creative ADD sufferer full-time. I write, I produce short films, I sculpt, do photography, and am just getting into writing and producing for theater this year for the first time. I'm a a slave to HBO drama, and lover of shows with supernatural beings.
With regard to True Blood, I am all "Team Eric" and have serious <3 for Lafayette, Pam, Jessica, and Hoyt.

Hello all! I also just realized that I didn't introduce myself in this thread first... Dr Drosophila here, as in the other board. I've been away from...the other board...for a few days due to work, and realized that ASkars has been shut down again. Sigh. I'm an assistant professor by day...got into TB when I randomly caught the TB season 1 recap on HBO before the new series began. I netflixed S1 and spent the next 2 weeks watching it obsessively. I'd never seen Askars before that. My latent fangirlish tendencies were unleashed the minute Eric kicked the bootlicker across the floor of Fangtasia. I'm also a huge Pam & Lafayette fan, and have a weird fascination for Lorena, though I rarely mention it over there as it results in instant Lorena hate rants. Aside from lurking on TWoP for years, I am also obsessed with Go Fug Yourself, which is where the phrase "polterwang" came from, for those of you who participated in that convo that wound up in ASkars post shutdown. Anyhow, good to see you all!

And if you notice Dr on the main page I put JHD's quote from that night "Dude, no polter just wang!"
Ahhh good times too bad TWoP has to be a pain the ass & ruin our fun. But that's what this place is for!

Hey guys!
I'm Amber. To answer the question, I started watching True Blood last year in July, after I started reading the books. I was on book 5 when I saw online that HBO had a show based on the books. I downloaded the episodes that I'd missed to catch up, and noticed Alex in the first ep. he was in at Fangtasia, looked him up on IMDB and bought Generation Kill.
After that, I got on amazon and ordered a bunch of his swedish films and the rest is history. Been into Alex and TB ever since and I'm a huge fan of the books.
