Wasn't much news stuff but it is a cool promo. I noticed that we get to see Eric with gobs of blood coming out of his mouth. I found it strangely erotic. Oh what has this show done to me? Better go to the You Know You're Obsessed Thread.

One scene? Fully clothed? That's it? How disappointing for us Eric fans.
I will say that had Bill acted like this towards Sookie from the beginning, there would be way more people on the Bill/Sookie train.
I half expected the scene in the bathroom to be part of a dream/ hallucination, and that Eric was the one who gave her the ring she put on. I thought that would have been the reason she turned Bill down, because of the connection with Eric. (Also wonder if that is Anna's real ring?)

I wish we would have had more Eric also. He looked real good I thought. The fact that he kept losing was funny.
Im glad Maryanne is gone.
I didnt think Bill was going to propose.
It was an okay episode. I see people online saying they had mixed feelings about it.
Did anyone notice any chem between Eric and the Queen. I thought she was tougher with him then with Bill.

I just kept thinking "She... CANNOT... marry Eric".
And I kind of hate how Alan Ball is changing showEric from bookEric... it makes me very nervous for the future to come.
I definitely liked Evan Rachel Wood's scene with Alexander better than her performance with Bill. I guess she needs to work off of a great actor in order to perform well herself. :-o

Yes, AB is def a bill lover. The media is more of an Eric lover so lol.
I think some of the episodes after I Will Rise Up have been a let down. That storyline was much better.
I think Lorena took Bill. Even if it was Eric I will love him anyway.

Wow, that episode sucked. I cannot believe that was the season finale, it was so slow and boring.
I still think the episode where Godric met the sun should have been the season finale, that was the most moving one for me this season.
And don't get me started on how little Eric there was this time! Blasphemy.

NOT ENOUGH ERIC!!
Sums up that episode for me. Why even bother showing him go to the Queen for Sam if they weren't going to bring him back at some point? Instead we got a little bit of him playing f'king Yahtzee.
On the plus side, atleast we know it was the Queen who put Eric up to have L sell V again. So Bill's threat in Frenzy about telling the Queen about it is now invalid. Hahaha.
Downside, I disliked the schmoopy Bill/Sookie love fest at the end. Yes Vamp AB is a Bill lover & Eric will be the audience choice. What I'm hoping is now that Bill has been kidnapped that this will set up for Eric to get Sookie's driveway fixed (and house if we're lucky).
Overall, disappointing ending. And once again NOT ENOUGH ERIC!

And once again NOT ENOUGH ERIC! You pretty much summed it up for me. I have mixed feelings overall. I think it was a poor season finale for a otherwise Awesome season. I loved Maryanne's death by Sam - he finally got to show his ball for once. BUT I hate what they did to Eric - what was the point in having Sam reach out to him and then have him not show up? Basically, you can't depend on him and he can't be trusted is the conclusion. I'm one of those who like Eric and Bill. But I really hated the Sookie/Bill scenes. It seemed so inappropriate the day after such an event. That cheapened the proposal and made Bill seem like a clueless ass. And I was distracted by those God awful bangs they gave Bill. I thought Eric would show up and they kept moving the camera to make it seem like someone was watching. I really should not have read the books because there was so much they left on the cutting floor. I feel awful for Tara - one of my favorite characters. I'm going to watch it again and see if I feel differently. But I still think they missed a great story telling opportunity with Eric. Season Three BETTER include the following: *Warning* Book Spoilers below this line *Warning* Eric Glamouring Tara's memory of the Maryann (Why didn't Bill offer to do this btw?) Eric fixing Sookie's driveway and house Alcyde better be a kiss ass character (thought I hated him later on). The Bill Betrayal/Lorena - This will make me love the proposal because it will make his betrayal even more heartbreaking than the books. The Eric and Sookie frienship and scenes from Club Dead

OK, on first reflection I liked the Bill/Sookie interaction.
But I forgot the timespan - and while I still think it was a sweet and romantic gesture, the timing was incredibly inappropriate.
Which combined with the threats to/from Eric, the kidnapping and the books, now has me wondering if Bill wasn't doing it for romantic purposes, but more as a way to lock up an "asset" from Eric or the Queen's potential poaching. That Bill's hidden agenda is coloring these actions.
Which if so, makes Bill much worse than Eric. Eric is devious and manipulative, but he makes no bones about it - he's very upfront about that being part of his nature. Bill, on the other hand, tries to set himself up as if he's the one in the right all the time and that there are no ulterior motives behind his behavior.
Given the two choices, I'd rather deal with a known sneaky bastard than an unknown sneaky bastard.
And like Shootingstar, I also don't know what the point of the Eric/Queen scene was. Unless it was meant to highlight that Eric is acting on her orders, and that she is not at all like what is portrayed in the books. I can't imagine Book Sophie-Anne playing Yahtzee and ignoring a potential crisis in her queendom.
I've seen suggestions that this should have been the mid-season resolution, and that Godric/Dallas should have been the season finale. That makes sense in terms of quality of storyline/episodes, but not in the actual storyline itself. Dallas HAS to come first, because there's no way Eric would have paid any attention to the Maryann situation (or anything else) while Godric was missing.
What I would have preferred is an equal amount of thought and attention paid to the Maryann storyline to make it as awesome as the Dallas storyline was. Those episodes were SO gripping and exciting, that anything else was going to pale in comparison, and I think it did. Hopefully, they can get their mojo back in S3.
Which means more Eric. If AB and Co haven't noticed: More Eric = Better, Awesome Episodes. (This might need to be a macro or billboard and stapled to AB's forehead.)

Let's just start a petition to AB about MORE ERIC in the episodes. HOPEFULLY we'll get our wish in season 3.
Yeah I do not think for one minute that Bill proposing was an entirely romantic gesture. He knows Eric is interested & is trying to stop that.

Since Eric wasn't apart of the Maenad killing anyway, this would have worked.
