No this isn't a poll or whatever but a question. How many of us know someone who is stuck on Twilight & have yet to see TB or haven't read the books & you've been TRYING to convince them (to the point where you want to stage an intervention) to read the Sookie Stackhouse books?
For me it's my sister. I've been TRYING my damndest to get her to see the light that vampire's don't sparkle, they aren't semi stalkers like Edward etc. No the Sookie Stackhouse books aren't literary genius but so far I've enjoyed them more than the 1 Twilight book I've read (which has only been the first one). I feel like I need to put her into Twilight Detox & see the error that she's making by believing that Vamps sparkle. I know I could get her to see that Eric is a million times more the kickass sexy vamp that Edward could ever hope to be but so far she isn't taking the bait (hell TV Bill & Book Bill have more balls than Edward. I'd rather here Suckie is Mahn! than be forced to deal with sparkling). It's getting rather exhausting lol.
Who is that person for you & what have you done to try to get them to come to the other side? lol

My best friend. On her own, she said she was going to watch TB, I never tried to persuade her other than once she said she would to make sure she let me know what she thought. But since then she hasn't watched.
Part is that she really doesn't have time - her work schedule is insane sometimes. And I think part of it is that I absolutely refuse to read the Twilight books - I don't care about the story and I've heard that the books are written worse than really bad fanfiction, so I won't inflict that on myself.
BUT we have made plans to go to ComicCon next summer - if nothing else, maybe I can convince her then! =)
